Dear parents:
We have had a busy week full of studying about Day and Night! We have made beautiful day and night scenes to decorate our class. We have been reading the book “The Sun is my Favorite Star” by Frank Asch and a few other non-fiction books to learn some facts about our planet and the sky. Next week we will begin learning about land and water. The children will identify land and water on a map.
In math, they will learn about left and right. In language the children will continue to practice tracing lines in different directions.
As most of you know, October 14th, is the last day of the 1st quarter. Next Friday Oct. 21st, is parent-teacher conference day. We will be sending you an appointment to have a conference with you on this day. Each conference will last 20 minutes.

October 13th: Discovery School General Assembly. Please try to attend.
October 17th: No school No School. Holiday Columbus Day.
October 21st: No School. Parent-Teacher conferences.
October 24th: Holiday, Honduran Armed Forces day
October 28th; -UN day celebration
