WEEK OF APRIL 11-13

We hope that you had fun and relaxing holiday. We want to thank all the parents for the beautiful Easter party, the children had a great time.

In Preschool we are off to a great start.

In Language Arts we will review the letters A to K. They will practice identifying the beginning sound in words. Please encourage them to read at home every day.

In Math, we keep working with measurement. We   will practice measuring the length and the height of different objects using non-standard units such as clips, cubes, and links.

In Science we did a unit on plants. We talked about the different parts of the plant. The students had the opportunity to observe bean plants sprout and grow. They also planted a garden, they had lots of fun. They learned that plants are living things and need water, air, and sunlight to live. A big thanks to Ms. Gissella Kotschote, she explained the students how to prepare the soil and how to plant the seeds and flowers. Also we want to thank Ms. Nancy Wheeler who also came to help us and to take many pictures to share with you.
