- To help students learn the importance of nutrition in keeping them healthy.
- What can we do to help our bodies stay healthy?(excersise, eat healthy, sleep, brush our teeth, take baths, wash our hands often)
- What kinds of food help to keep us healthy?(fruits, vegetables, meat, eggs, milk)
- Is sleep important for our bodies?
- Should we eat a lot of sweet foods and snacks? Why or why not? (cavities and they are not good for us)
- What is your favorite food to eat?? (pizza, cookies, chicken)
- What is a fruit?
- What is a vegetable?
For Discovery School, it is very important to teach our students about sharing and helping others. Angelitos Del Dia is a perfect way to help show our kids just how easy this can be and how we can make a difference in our community.
"Angelitos del Dia" helps newborn babies born at Materno Infantil Hospital here in Tegucigalpa. They provide moms with newborn essentials (blankets, pajamas, socks, hats, wash cloths, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby soap and baby shampoo).
Your child will be taking an empty bag home this week. Please feel free to donate as many items as you wish by placing them in the bag. Send the bag back by November 28th.

Our Choir and Jazz wolves have been invited to entertain the attendees to Casa David´s silent auction on Sunday, November 20.
Our annual Christmas bazaar is taking soon! For additional information if you´d like to participate send an email to discovery.bazaar@gmail.com
It is always the season to open our hearts and share with those around us that need it most. It has been a tradition at Discovery School for students to come together and contribute in assembling baskets of goods for our support personnel. We are asking for your cooperation in sending the following:
Nursery/PKinder and 6th grade students
1 5-lb bag of beans
Please feel free to send any additional goodies that you want to share with our devoted staff, such as canned goods, instant soups, cookies and crackers, or anything else that does not require refrigeration. Please send these items no later than Friday, December 2. Your cooperation will be deeply appreciated.
