WEEK OF NOVEMBER 21-26, 2016

Dear Parents,

In Nursery we learn about many things. We teach our students about sharing and helping out. Angelitos Del Dia is a perfect way to help show our kids just how easy this can be and how we can make a difference in our community.

"Angelitos del Dia" helps out newborn babies born in Materno Infantil here in Tegucigalpa. They provide moms with newborn essentials (blankets, pajamas, socks, hats, wash cloths, towels, diapers, baby wipes, baby soap and baby shampoo). 

Please feel free to donate as many items as you wish. Send them in by Monday, November 28th.

It is always the season to open our hearts and share with those around us that need it most. It has been a tradition at Discovery School for students to come together and contribute in assembling baskets of goods for our support personnel.  We are asking for your cooperation in sending the following:

Nursery/PKinder and 6^th grade students
1 5-lb bag of beans

Please feel free to send any additional goodies that you want to share with our devoted staff, such as canned goods, instant soups, cookies and crackers, or anything else that does not require refrigeration.  Please send these items no later than Friday, December 2. Your cooperation will be deeply appreciated

Our Choir and Jazz wolves have been invited to entertain the attendees to Casa David´s silent auction on Sunday, November 20.

MIDTERM PROGRESS REPORTS–Progress reports will go home this Friday, November 18. Please read and discuss the report with your child. The report needs to be signed and returned to school. If you wish to conference with a teacher, please do not hesitate to contact the school to set up an appointment. They must be signed and returned to school by Monday, November 21. 

Thanksgiving Holiday November 24-25

Wednesday is our pot luck breakfast . The students do not need to bring their lunchbox on this day. 

This Week we will be learning the color ''WHITE'. The vocabulary for this color is: salt,rice,rabbit,egg,cloud, marshmallow.

This week we will be learning about the story of Thanksgiving.
We will be reading stories and watching short movies and songs about Thanksgiving. We will talk about the things we are thankful for.
