This week we have been studying the letters of the alphabet by using the zoo- phonics method. We learned the sound and movement of the letters a through g. We will continue this week with the letters h to l. A letter was sent home giving a further explanation about this method and the characters.
This week we will begin our unit on the human body. In this unit the students will learn: parts of the body, the five senses and how to keep our body healthy. In math we will continue with the numbers 3.4, and 5. The children will practice writing the numbers one through five. At home, try to practice with your child.
As stated in other newsletters, on Monday October 31st we will be having a “dress-up” party. We would like to thank all the parents who collaborated with this celebration. Please send your child with the costume in a bag and we will be changing into our costumes around 9:15 am. We would appreciate parents’ during this time if any are available. We will be having a small parade around the school and will be having a special snack as well.
