WEEK OF MARCH 12- 15

Dear parents, Thank you for sending the boxes, we were not able to finish the box cars but we will try to finish them this week.

We will continue learning about transportation; the students will sort vehicles according to several characteristics for example, Have or do not have wheels, how do they move, air, water, or land.

In math, the students are going to learn to tell time to the hour. They have been practicing to write the numbers correctly, the nursery students write the numbers from 1 to 5, the Pre k students from 1to 10. You can also try to practice it at home; Spread sand or flour on a tray  and have your child trace the numerals using their index finger, one numeral each day.

The students have finished learning their Zoo Phonics sounds and now we are concentrating on recognizing these sounds in different words.  For example, when discussing “Bubba Bear” (B) we talk about common words and names that begin with this sound.  This activity is something that you can do at home with your student that will help him/her to have better phonemic awareness.
