WEEK OF FEBRUARY 19- 22

We hope you all had a restful and wonderful break!

We would like to thank all the parents for the wonderful Valentine’s Day celebration last Thursday!! Thank you very much! This would not have been possible without your help! The children were very happy to give and to receive their Valentine cards and treats.

This week we will be focusing on letter Cc. We will be doing lots of activities with the letter Cc. The following are some of the vocabulary words we are going to be focusing on this week: cat, car, carrot, cave, cake, cup, calf, crab, cow, and cookie. Please make sure to practice this vocabulary since each student will be assessed on Friday to find out how many words have they learned so far.

In math we will continue to extend and create patterns that are more complex.
The children will learn more about the sea animals.

Midterm Reports were sent home last Thursday. Please make sure you sign and return them as soon as possible. If a conference was requested we ask that you call and plan to come in this week. If one was not requested but you would like to come in and talk, please call us.

Yearbook pictures will be taken next week!!!  Nursery and Pk will have their picture taken on Monday, February 25th at 8:00 a.m. Please try not to have your child absent on this day.

This week the students will learn the following rhymes:

Five Little Fishes

 Five little fishes
Swimming in the sea
Teasing Mr. Shark
"You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Shark
As quiet as can be
SNAP!

Four little fishes
Swimming in the sea
Teasing Mr. Shark
"You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Shark
As quiet as can be
SNAP!
Three little fishes
Swimming in the sea
Teasing Mr. Shark
"You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Shark
As quiet as can be
SNAP!
Two little fishes
Swimming in the sea
Teasing Mr. Shark
"You can't catch me!"
Along came Mr. Shark
As quiet as can be
SNAP!

One, two, three, four, five.
Once I caught a fish alive,
Six, seven, eight, nine ,ten,
Then I let it go again.
Why did you let it go?
Because it bit my finger so.
Which finger did it bite?
