WEEK OF FEBRUARY 25- MARCH 1

The students have been working hard to learn their letters and sounds. Last week we did many activities and games to practice letter and sound recognition. One of the games that the children liked was ¨what is missing?¨ In this game the teacher displays a set of cards with pictures of the vocabulary we are studying, then the teacher hides one card and the children need to guess which card is missing.

The children are also making a booklet of each letter, please be sure to read this booklet at home and practice the vocabulary.

This week we will introduce the letter Dd and this is the corresponding vocabulary:

Deer, desk, doll, dig, dinosaur, dress domino, daisy, dog, dig, dance and dirt.

The children also continued to do writing of lower case letters. They are becoming more skilled.  Children should always begin their tall letters at the top because it helps them to visually structure the rest of the letter.

This week we will study farm animals and we will continue to learn more about the basic needs of living creatures. Please practice the following words: Farm, farmer, cow, horse, hen, pig, chick, goat, sheep, barn.

In math, the children will have to copy and continue ABB and AAB patterns.
The students will learn about the numbers 11 and 12 in preparation for the clock.

YEARBOOK PICTURES – Nursery and Pk is scheduled to have their individual and class pictures for the yearbook taken on Monday February 25th.Try to not be absent on this day, and to look prettier than usual!
