WEEK OF MARCH 4-8


Dear Parents:

 

Welcome to March! The students have been studying about farm animals and they have enjoyed reading books, learning songs, and playing with toy animals.Thanks to the children who contributed their books and toys to our class.

Next week we will learn about zoo animals. They will learn the following rhyme about the zoo.

One, one the zoo is fun.

Two, two, I see a kangaroo.

Three, three I see a chimpanzee

Four, four, hear the lions roar

Five, five, see the seals dive

Six, six the monkey does tricks

Seven,seven,elephants eleven.

Eight, eight, a tiger and his mate

Nine, nine birds on a line

Ten, ten, I will come again.

The children will also learn this vocabulary:

Zoo, zoo keeper, lion, tiger, monkey, gorilla, zebra, giraffe, ostrich, seal, snake, crocodile, flamingo.

We will be focusing on the letter Ee and this is the corresponding vocabulary:

Earth, elephant, eleven, envelope, escalator, elf, exit, egg, and elk.

In math, the students will order numbers from 1 to 12.They will also practice writing these numbers.

On Tuesday, March 5th the students will have their group picture taken. Please have your child wear a nice outfit.


The Juniors are asking for our cooperation in their Cayos Cochino’s community service project. Each  child is asked to contribute with ONE BOX OF COLORED PENCILS. We appreciate you sending them in as soon as possible.
