WEEK OF SEPTEMBER 2-6








Dear Parents,
 
 
This week we will learn about the letter Cc. The vocabulary we will cover for this letter is: cat, cookie, cake, car, can, cap, cow, crab, coat, candy. Please practice at home making the sound of the letters learned.






In math we will introduce number 2. Children will do fun activities to learn the correct way of writing the number like using race cars to drive over the number 2. Also they will start using our smart board to do interactive games and activities.
 
We will also learn the shape CIRCLE. Students will do fine motor skills activities with this shape.






Our theme for this week is ''All About Me and My Family''
We will discuss families and how they grow.
Children will be learning the following vocabulary: father, mother, sister, brother, grandmother, grandfather, baby, daughter, son. We will talk about the importance of the family and they will identify all the members of their family.

Remember that every Wednesday children will be taking homework. This week they will take  ''My Family Tree'' project. Please assist your child in completing this worksheet so that they can better understand family relationships.








HONDURAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION – On Thursday, September 13, and as part of our Independence Day Celebration, we will be having a traditional Honduran snack. We are asking our wonderful parents for their cooperation in sending something from the Honduran cuisine (i.e. catrachitas, tamalitos, platano frito, pupusas,  baleadas, elotes cocidos, horchata, rosquilla en miel, ect) enough for our 10 students and 2 teachers.
