WEEK OF JANUARY 21-25

Time flies and we are getting ready to celebrate 100 Days of school.

For this celebration your child needs to bring a small box of Froot Loops cereal.  We are planning  to do games and art projects related to the number 100.

In language, we are concentrating on recognizing the beginning sound in different words.  For example, when discussing “Bubba Bear” (B) we talk about common words and names that begin with this sound.  This activity is something that you can do at home with your child; it will help him/her to have better phonemic awareness.

In math, the students will order, write, count and group objects up to 10.

Valentine’s Day is coming up soon and we will be talking about Friendship and doing many fun activities with the children.

CLOTHING DRIVE – Do you have any used clothing that you would like to donate to a worthy cause? If so, please bring any clean and folded items to the school any day this week and we will donate them to a charity. If you have any questions, please contact Mr. Vincent Taylor (vtaylor@discoveryschool.edu.hn) for more information.
